My Philosophy as a Criminal Defense Lawyer

My name is Robert Perez and I'm a Criminal Lawyer. I'm proud of the work that I do to protect Freedom and Liberty and uphold the principles of our Constitution. Government threatens our Freedom and Liberty in many ways, but nowhere is this more apparent or more dramatic than in a criminal prosecution, where the goal of the government is to lock you up in chains and warehouse you.

But I am not fighting for some abstract cause -- I am fighting for you and your cause. I understand that my number one priority is to protect you and your interests, whatever they may be. Our legal system gives me the duty and legal authority to disregard questions of guilt or innocence and act as your advocate, no matter what you did or did not do. I am not here to judge you. I am not here to question your motives or actions. You will receive full, unconditional support from me and my professional staff as we enter the battle together. I am your champion and my job is to fight for you.

Without intending to diminish the seriousness of your situation, I want you to know that I enjoy the fight. I am a trial lawyer and I relish the opportunity to present my cases to juries made up of ordinary citizens from the community. When it comes to criminal charges, I don't trust judges, prosecutors or police. I trust juries. Jurors are just ordinary folks who enter the courtroom bringing with them the common sense and life experience that allows them to understand the things that prosecutors and police don't seem to get.

Lawyers don't win cases based solely on oratory skill or flamboyant speaking style. When it comes to defending against criminal charges, the most important qualities for a good criminal defense lawyer are credibility, genuineness, communication skills, persistence in the face of long odds, and a willingness to work hard. At the end of the day, victory comes most often to the lawyer who has worked the hardest and prepared the most. This is true whether we are forced to trial, or seeking to negotiate a favorable settlement of the case.

I invite you to read the rest of my website and learn more about who I am and what I do. My site wasn't written by some web-marketing firm for lawyers, virtually all of the content was written by me, for you, including my FAQ. It has always been my belief that there is no substitute for getting personally involved in every aspect of the mission to ensure that everything is working harmoniously. I don't send investigators out to take pictures and interview witnesses, I conduct witness interviews myself. I visit the scene myself. I look at the evidence with my own eyes, I don't rely on photographs or police reports. It's more work for me, but there's no substitute for hands-on involvement in every aspect of my cases.

I hope that I'm able to answer any of your questions about this most important and troubling event in your life. I am ready to talk to you confidentially in the privacy of my office and introduce you to my staff of dedicated and discreet professionals, all of whom are ready to join in the fight on your side under my direction. Together, we can make a difference. Thanks for visiting my site and good luck to you.
